Over 50 primary and secondary schools in Delta State have been built, renovated and commissioned in the last three years by Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s administration.

This was disclosed during the commissioning of about six primary and secondary schools in Warri metropolis by  Governor Uduaghan.

The governor said more of such schools and other laudable projects will be constructed across the state before the end of his administration.

Uduaghan urged the schools' pupils, students, teachers and other stakeholders in the communities where the projects are located to protect the buildings.

The Commissioner In-charge of Special Infrastructures, Barr Orezi Esievo said the schools were in a very deplorable state before government decided to renovate and rehabilitate them as part of the administration's agenda.

On his part the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Prof Patrick Muoboghare stated that, Nana Model College is one of the special 13 model colleges built by the Uduaghan’s administration.

Some of the communities’ leaders who spoke at the events promised to safeguard the projects and lives of those occupying them.
