Umeh, Odegbami, Ogunjobi disqulified from NFF election

The three presidential candidates of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have been banned by the electoral committee of the football body. The Acting president of the NFF,Mike Umeh,former Nigerian footballer Segun Odegbami and former NFF general secretary of the NFF Taiwo Ogunjobi are those disqualified from the contesting at the general elections. Chris Giwa,owner of the Nigerian Premier League side, Giwa FC is now the only candidate not disqualified from those vying for the Presidency of the NFF. The disqualified candidates is expected to head to the appeals committee to see if their disqualifications will be upturned. Reports have it that Chris Giwa,is the preferred candidate of the National Sports Commission(NSC). The NFF's election is scheduled to come up next week in Warri, Delta State. It is not known if it will be postponed.
