PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN
President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria has appointed General Martin Luther Agwai (rtd) and Mrs. Tanwa Olusi as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of SURE-P respectively.
The President also appointed Mr. Ima Niboro, his erstwhile Special Adviser on Media, as Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
A Thursday statement by Reuben Abati, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, made the appointments public.
The other appointments are as follows:
Mrs. Fidelia Njeze - Special Adviser (NEPAD)
Senator Suleiman M. Ajadi - Special Adviser (NASS)
Mr. Sola Omole - DG, NTA
Alhaji Ladan Salihu - DG, FRCN

The statement said the appointments are “In furtherance of efforts to continually strengthen his administration on all fronts,” adding that appointments were made to fill existing vacancies.
Gen. Martin Agwai (rtd.) was until now the Deputy Chairman and Acting Chairman of SURE-P while Mrs. Njeze is the current Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland.
All the appointments are with immediate effect, Abati said.
